Jeff Wittek Provides Recovery Update Following Latest Surgery from 2021 Dobrik Incident

Jeff Wittek, the popular YouTube personality, has provided an update on his recovery following what he describes as his most extensive surgery to date.

Known for his Jeff’s Barbershop series, Wittek sustained a serious eye injury in 2021 during a failed stunt involving David Dobrik’s Vlog Squad. The accident occurred when Dobrik operated an excavator, swinging Wittek at high speed before a violent impact left him with life-threatening injuries.

After multiple surgeries and a well-documented fallout with Dobrik, Wittek recently shared with Dexerto that his latest procedure was a major one, delaying key projects, including a planned movie shoot.

“I wish I had better news, but this last surgery was the biggest one yet,” he said. “I still can’t drive myself, but I’m making progress. Hopefully, I’ll be fully recovered in time for the tour this spring.”

Despite the setbacks, Wittek remains committed to his work, balancing his podcast Jeff FM with the opening of the first physical Jeff’s Barbershop location in New York. He highlighted the importance of staying active and maintaining a strong mindset, crediting fitness and work for keeping him motivated.

With an upcoming live tour and new ventures in the pipeline, Wittek is determined to push forward. “Quitting isn’t an option—I’ve invested everything into this, so it’s all or nothing.”
