Contrary to earlier reports suggesting the driver of the Jaffer Express had lost his life, it has been confirmed that he is safe and unharmed. A video circulating on social media shows the driver in good health, speaking to someone and reassuring about his well-being.
Earlier, misinformation had claimed that the driver had succumbed to injuries sustained during the incident. However, the latest update confirms his safety.
It is important to note that security forces have successfully concluded their operation against the attackers, neutralizing 33 terrorists. In a statement, the Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the completion of the operation and the safe recovery of all hostages.
