Israeli Airstrike in Lebanon Kills One, Targets Hezbollah Operative

An Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon on Wednesday resulted in the death of one individual, marking the first fatality since Israeli forces withdrew from most of the border region a day prior.
According to Lebanon’s official National News Agency (NNA), an enemy drone targeted a vehicle in the town of Aita al-Shaab near the southern border, killing one person.
The Israeli military confirmed the attack, stating that an aircraft had carried out a strike against a Hezbollah operative spotted handling weaponry in the area.
Additionally, the NNA reported that one person was injured in the Wazzani border region after Israeli forces opened fire. Gunfire from Israeli automatic weapons was also directed toward homes near the town of Shebaa, the agency added.
