50 Cent Sparks Controversy with GoFundMe for Big Meech’s Bills
Rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent has once again stirred up social media by sharing a GoFundMe page aimed at “helping Big Meech pay his bills.” The fundraising effort, originally launched by Cory Smith with a $10,000 goal, was amplified by the G-Unit mogul on Instagram, where he took shots at his longtime rival.
The GoFundMe description humorously states that Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, co-founder of the Black Mafia Family, was released from federal prison in late 2024. It goes on to claim that Meech had planned a grand homecoming concert, which was ultimately canceled due to unforeseen issues, leaving him in financial trouble. The page jokingly urges supporters to contribute, saying, “Any help will be much appreciated!”
Social Media Erupts with Mixed Reactions
50 Cent’s post quickly gained traction, racking up over 50,000 likes and triggering an avalanche of comments. Many found humor in the situation, with one user writing, “Now we see why 50 needs heavy security.” Others were baffled, questioning whether the rapper’s trolling had gone too far. On X (formerly Twitter), one post read, “I grew up hearing about Big Meech, only for him to end up like this—LMAO.”
Some critics accused 50 Cent of taking his trolling too far, especially given his past feuds. One user pointed out, “Imagine coming home from prison only to have 50 Cent clown you like this? He’s not stopping unless Meech apologizes.”
Others warned that 50’s antics could have serious consequences. “This isn’t a movie,” one person noted. “These are real men who’ve done hard time and hold major respect in the streets. People laugh now, but trolling like this could trigger something serious.”
Long-Standing Feud Reignites
50 Cent’s latest jab follows recent tension between him and Big Meech after Meech was spotted with rapper Rick Ross in January. Given the deep-rooted rivalry between 50 Cent and Ross, the photo seemingly reignited old tensions. Never one to back down, 50 Cent mocked Meech online for associating with Ross, one of his most infamous adversaries.
The drama escalated further when 50 took to X, referring to Meech as a “rat” and doubling down on his longstanding grudge. His feud with Rick Ross dates back to 2009, and it appears the bad blood remains just as intense.
Despite the backlash, 50 Cent continues to poke fun at his rivals, keeping his reputation as a relentless provocateur alive. The GoFundMe stunt has left fans wondering whether things will escalate or if the situation will fizzle out.
As of now, Big Meech has yet to respond to 50 Cent’s public jabs or the GoFundMe campaign. Meanwhile, the internet remains divided, with some entertained by the antics and others concerned about where this ongoing feud might lead.
