Imran Khan Won’t Settle Despite Government Pressure: Aleema

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has firmly stated that he will not engage in any negotiations or compromises, despite what he describes as ongoing government efforts to pressure him. This declaration was conveyed by his sister, Aleema Khan, following her visit to Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, where Imran Khan is currently detained. Speaking to the media outside the prison, Aleema shared that this was her first meeting with her brother in a week and confirmed that all his legal cases had been postponed.

Aleema assured reporters that Imran Khan appeared to be in good health and high spirits during their meeting. She dismissed rumors about his health, particularly claims of ear pain or other illnesses, stating, “Imran Khan was completely healthy and happy. He has no ear pain or other ailments.” She also addressed false information circulating on social media, accusing certain individuals linked to the establishment of spreading baseless rumors, including claims of a brain infection. “These rumors are completely unfounded. Allah is protecting him,” she asserted.

Additionally, Aleema expressed concerns about restrictions on Imran Khan’s communication with his personal doctor and family members. She revealed that he has been denied the opportunity to speak with his children, further highlighting the challenges he faces. She also mentioned that PTI’s legal team, led by Salman Akram Raja, has been tasked with handling his personal legal petitions.

Aleema provided an update on the Al-Qadir Trust case, suggesting that a verdict might be announced within a week. She noted that despite attempts by some to delay the proceedings, the case is moving forward. On the political front, Imran Khan reiterated his unwavering stance, declaring, “No matter what, I will not make a deal.”

In a separate matter, Imran Khan expressed his disapproval of the proposed renaming of Arbab Niaz Stadium, advocating for the restoration of its original name. This reflects his continued engagement in issues beyond his immediate legal and political challenges.
