Michelle Trachtenberg’s Cause of Death Remains Undetermined
Fans were left in shock following the unexpected passing of actress Michelle Trachtenberg at the age of 39.
Her family declined an autopsy, and her official cause of death has been listed as “undetermined,” as reported by Fox News. The Gossip Girl star was found deceased in her New York City apartment on Wednesday, February 26.
Authorities do not consider her death suspicious. According to ABC7, police sources revealed that Trachtenberg had recently undergone a liver transplant and may have experienced complications as a result.
Insiders close to the actress shared that she had been emotionally struggling over the past year. One source described her as being “very open about her health challenges” and noted that she appeared pale, gaunt, and noticeably thin.
“She was really unwell and made it known to those around her that she was going through a difficult time,” the source revealed.
