Gold Prices Rise Locally and Globally Amid Market Shifts

Following a short-lived decline, gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant rebound, with the cost per tola climbing to Rs307,000 on Friday, reflecting an increase of Rs3,000.

Data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) revealed that the price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs2,571, reaching Rs263,203.

This upward trend came after a drop on Thursday, when the price of gold per tola had decreased by Rs3,000, settling at Rs304,000.

In the global market, gold prices also saw an uptick on Friday. The APGJSA reported the international price at $2,921 per ounce, marking a $28 increase compared to the previous day.

Similarly, silver prices in Pakistan also witnessed a rise, increasing by Rs31 to reach Rs3,400 per tola.
