Gold Prices in Pakistan Surge Following Global Price Hike
On Friday, gold prices in Pakistan saw a notable increase, driven by a rise in global gold rates.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola surged by Rs1,100, reaching Rs279,400. Additionally, the price for 10 grams of gold rose by Rs943, bringing it to Rs239,540, as reported by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This follows a previous increase of Rs1,300 per tola on Thursday, which had raised the price to Rs278,300.
On the international front, gold prices also saw a boost, with the value reaching $2,676 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a $11 increase for the day.
In contrast, silver prices remained unchanged, staying steady at Rs3,350 per tola.
