Gold Prices Drop for Second Straight Day

Gold Prices Decline for Second Consecutive Day Amid Global Market Drop

Gold prices saw a decline in both international and local markets on Tuesday, largely due to a dip in the global bullion market.

In the international market, gold prices decreased by $14 per ounce, settling at $2,661. This drop was mirrored in the local bullion market, where the price of 24-carat gold fell by Rs1,400 per tola, reaching Rs277,900. The price for 10 grams also dropped by Rs1,201, bringing it to Rs238,254.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged. One tola of silver held steady at Rs3,350, while the price for 10 grams stayed the same at Rs2,872.08.

Local jewellers attributed the decrease in gold prices to the fluctuations in the international market, which typically influences trends in domestic pricing.
