Gold Hits Record High in Local and Global Markets
Gold prices continued their upward momentum on Friday, reaching new record highs both in Pakistan and internationally.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola surged by Rs2,380, hitting Rs323,380, while the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs2,041, reaching Rs277,246, as reported by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On the global front, gold prices also saw a rise, climbing to $3,074 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a $22 increase for the day.
This follows Thursday’s sharp surge, when gold prices jumped by Rs3,200 per tola, reaching Rs321,000.
Meanwhile, silver prices in Pakistan also rose, increasing by Rs30 per tola, closing at Rs3,610.
