Brad Pitt and George Clooney Try to Convince Sandra Bullock to Join ‘Ocean’s Fourteen’
Brad Pitt and George Clooney are reportedly making a big effort to persuade Sandra Bullock to reprise her role in the upcoming Ocean’s Fourteen.
According to In Touch, the two actors are eager to bring Bullock back as Debbie Ocean, a character she portrayed in Ocean’s Eight (2018). To sweeten the deal, Pitt and Clooney are reportedly offering her a substantial $20 million to secure her participation in the new installment of the beloved heist film franchise.
Bullock, now 60, is being courted for what insiders are calling a fresh chapter in the Ocean’s series. While Pitt and Clooney, both in their 60s, are established figures in the franchise, having starred in Ocean’s Eleven (2001), Ocean’s Twelve (2004), and Ocean’s Thirteen (2007), the duo is keen on reuniting Bullock for the latest film.
This renewed push for Ocean’s Fourteen comes after a shift in direction. While Pitt and Clooney had initially planned to pass the torch to newer stars like Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, the success of Barbie and other commitments led Clooney to reinvigorate the franchise, focusing on a new storyline and fresh cast.
As part of this shift, the actors aim to honor the legacy of late series stars Bernie Mac and Carl Reiner while accounting for Bruce Willis’ retirement. They are also seeking to reunite other Ocean’s veterans, such as Julia Roberts, Don Cheadle, and Casey Affleck. Sources close to the project emphasize that Bullock’s return is crucial to its success.
Despite announcing a break from acting in 2022, Bullock has remained close with Pitt, with whom she previously worked on The Lost City and Bullet Train. Though balancing several offers, including a role in the Practical Magic sequel, insiders suggest she’s considering a return to studio films.
Reports indicate that Pitt and Clooney are determined to make Ocean’s Fourteen happen, with plans for a Christmas 2025 release.
