Gen Asim: Prepared to Fight 10 Wars for Kashmir

Gen Asim Munir Reaffirms Pakistan’s Commitment to Kashmir

MUZAFFARABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir asserted on Wednesday that Pakistan would not be daunted by India’s military advancements or technological superiority. He emphasized that Pakistan stood ready to engage in multiple conflicts if necessary to uphold Kashmir’s cause.

Speaking to local elders and residents in Muzaffarabad, the army chief reassured that despite temporary challenges, Pakistan remained steadfast in its support for the Kashmiri people in their legitimate struggle against Indian oppression.

“Pakistan has already fought three wars for Kashmir, and if the need arises, we are prepared to fight even ten more,” he declared. “No amount of military might or modern technology can intimidate Pakistan.”

Highlighting Kashmir’s significance, he stated, “Kashmir is the lifeline of Pakistan. Just as severing a jugular vein leads to death, Kashmir is an essential part of our existence. The day is not far when Kashmir will be free and rightfully become a part of Pakistan.”

Gen Munir condemned India’s ongoing repression and the rise of extremist ideologies, asserting that such actions only strengthen the resolve of Kashmiris in their pursuit of self-determination. He further noted that in today’s world, the voices of powerful nations are heard, and Pakistan holds a position of strength.

Addressing economic concerns, he dismissed fears of financial instability, emphasizing Pakistan’s resilience. “Those predicting economic collapse are misleading the nation. Our economic progress over the past year has even surprised global institutions like the IMF and the World Bank,” he said.

He also highlighted the country’s abundant natural wealth, noting that Pakistan possesses a vast gas pipeline network valued at $48 billion and mineral resources worth $7 trillion. “A nation with such immense resources can never default,” he affirmed.

Sharing his personal connection with Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Gen Munir recounted his service in regions such as Neelum Valley, Chakothi, and Pandu. Expressing a vision for economic growth, he encouraged Pakistanis to invest in AJK’s tourism sector, which could create numerous employment opportunities for locals.

In a significant development, he announced a government agreement with Starlink, ensuring the imminent availability of high-speed internet services in the region.

During his visit, Gen Munir paid tribute to Kashmiri martyrs, recognizing their sacrifices for the cause of freedom. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), he was welcomed in Muzaffarabad by the Rawalpindi corps commander.

He also visited the Martyrs’ Monument, commending the dedication and combat readiness of officers and soldiers stationed in AJK. Praising their high morale and vigilance, he stressed the need for unwavering operational preparedness to counter any external threats.

Reaffirming the military’s commitment, he declared that any act of aggression against Pakistan would be met with a resolute response, underscoring the army’s unwavering dedication to safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
