Gaza Death Toll Approaches 51,400 as Israeli Strikes Claim 50 More Palestinian Lives

At least 50 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza over the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry, which reported a total death toll of 51,355 since Israel’s military actions began in October 2023. Additionally, 152 people were injured, bringing the total number of injuries to 117,248. Many victims remain trapped under rubble or stuck on roads, with rescue operations hindered due to ongoing violence.

Israel resumed its offensive on Gaza on March 18, leading to nearly 2,000 more deaths and over 5,200 injuries, breaking a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that had been in place since January.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants in November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel is also facing genocide charges at the International Court of Justice due to its ongoing actions in the region.
