Eva Longoria is stepping up to aid in the Los Angeles wildfire relief efforts with a generous $1 million donation. The actress is using part of the $50 million she received from the Jeff Bezos Courage and Civility Award in March, which she has ten years to distribute toward charitable causes.
Longoria’s donation will support the Latino Community Foundation, led by Julian Castro, and the California Community Foundation, with a focus on addressing both immediate and long-term needs for families displaced by the devastating fires. These wildfires, including the Palisades and Eaton blazes, have caused widespread destruction, affecting over 12,000 structures and displacing thousands of people.
This contribution is part of a broader celebrity effort, with figures such as Beyoncé, Paris Hilton, Anthony Davis, and Jason Oppenheim also helping with relief efforts for those impacted by the disaster.
