Turkish President Erdogan to Visit Pakistan for High-Level Talks

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan tomorrow for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He will be accompanied by a high-profile delegation comprising key ministers, senior government officials, and business leaders, with the aim of strengthening Pakistan-Turkey relations.

A key highlight of the visit will be the 7th Session of the Pakistan-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC), which President Erdogan and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will jointly preside over. The session is expected to conclude with the signing of multiple agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs), along with a Joint Declaration to enhance cooperation in various sectors.

During his visit, President Erdogan will also hold separate meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari. Additionally, he is scheduled to address the Pakistan-Turkey Business and Investment Forum, where top investors and business leaders from both countries will explore opportunities to boost economic ties.

The HLSCC serves as the highest decision-making platform for bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey, covering diverse areas such as trade, investment, energy, defense, agriculture, tourism, and education. Since its establishment, six sessions have taken place, with the last one being held in Islamabad in February 2020. The upcoming engagements are expected to further deepen strategic collaboration and strengthen the long-standing partnership between the two nations.
