Emilia Pérez Leads 2025 Golden Globes with Most Wins

The 2025 Golden Globes were dominated by Emilia Pérez, which took home an impressive four awards, the most of any film. The Spanish-language French musical thriller entered the race with 10 nominations and triumphed in major categories, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language.

Zoe Saldaña won Best Supporting Actress for her remarkable performance, narrowly defeating Selena Gomez, who earned her first-ever Golden Globe nomination in the same category. El Mal also claimed the award for Best Original Song – Motion Picture.

Selena Gomez, despite not winning, marked a significant achievement by receiving her first Golden Globe nomination for Best Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for Only Murders in the Building. Her dual nominations were a career milestone for the actress and singer.

Following Emilia Pérez was The Brutalist, which secured three awards, including Best Drama and Best Actor for Adrien Brody. Demi Moore made headlines by winning her first Golden Globe for The Substance, taking home Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy.

On the television front, Shōgun emerged as a big winner, claiming four awards, including Best Drama Series and multiple acting honors.

Additionally, Wicked, featuring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, earned the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award, continuing the musical momentum from last year’s winner, Barbie.
