King Charles III’s Health Update: Doctor Addresses Concerns After Hospitalization
King Charles IIIβs recent hospitalization due to temporary side effects from his ongoing cancer treatment has sparked public concern.
Renowned oncologist Professor Karol Sikora addressed these concerns, explaining that such side effects are common in cancer patients. Speaking on GB News, he reassured the public, stating, “I think it’s okay, no one needs to worry. He went to the hospital, and there was clearly a side effect.”
The Royal Palace issued a statement on Thursday night, confirming that the King had experienced temporary side effects requiring a short hospital observation. As a result, his scheduled engagements were postponed. However, the statement assured that His Majesty had returned to Clarence House and, as a precaution, would reschedule the following dayβs commitments.
Professor Sikora also praised the growing transparency around royal health matters, noting how the Royal Family now openly shares medical updates, a stark contrast to past secrecy. He emphasized that while not all details are disclosed, it is understandable as health matters remain personal.
Additionally, the medical expert advised cancer patients, including the King, to continue with their normal routines to maintain a sense of well-being. “The best thing to do is carry on as normal. If you have a family, keep engaging with them, rather than staying idle and feeling miserable,” he suggested.
On Friday morning, the 75-year-old monarch made his first public appearance since the hospital visit, leaving Clarence House in a black Audi. He waved to well-wishers as he headed to his Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire.
