David Beckham was seen narrowly avoiding a parking fine while leaving the Stock Exchange Hotel in Manchester on Monday.
The 49-year-old former footballer parked his Β£600,000 Rolls Royce Cullinan on double yellow lines as he exited the hotel with his parents, Sandra and Ted. Beckham made sure his family received VIP treatment as he quickly left the scene in his luxury vehicle.
Beckham, dressed in a smart navy winter coat, was in Manchester to attend the funeral of Kath Phipps, Manchester Unitedβs beloved former receptionist. The service, held at Manchester Cathedral, included tributes from Sir Alex Ferguson, Ruben Amorim, and the Manchester United squad, who joined Beckham in honoring Phipps.
Phipps, who had been with the club for 56 years, passed away at the age of 85 on December 5. She was described as a “one-woman institution” and was visited by many from her “Manchester United family” in her final weeks, including Ferguson.
