China protests strongly to the US over FY 25 NDAA.

China has strongly protested against the US National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2025, which includes provisions critical of China. The act, signed by President Joe Biden, focuses on countering China, including measures that support Taiwanโ€™s military and impose restrictions on Chinese businesses.

Chinaโ€™s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Mao Ning, condemned the US for portraying China as a threat, supporting Taiwan, limiting trade and exchanges, and undermining China’s sovereignty. China has urged the US to stop these actions and not implement the negative articles targeting China.

The NDAA allocates $300 million to help Taiwan improve its military capabilities and imposes new bans on Chinese products, including drone technology. Chinese experts argue that this act could harm China-US relations and provide pretexts for the US military-industrial complex to increase profits.
