Cassie Ventura has revealed that she is expecting her third child with her husband, Alex Fine. The 38-year-old singer announced the news on Instagram on Wednesday, sharing a heartfelt photo of herself with her two children, four-year-old Frankie and two-year-old Sunny, proudly displaying her baby bump.
Accompanying the post, Cassie included a pregnancy emoji, a blue heart, and the hashtag “#3,” celebrating the upcoming addition to their family.
Cassie and Alex exchanged vows in a private wedding ceremony in August 2019. Just two months later, they welcomed their first daughter, Frankie. Their second child, Sunny, was born in March 2021, further cementing their growing family.
This joyful announcement follows a tumultuous period in Cassie’s life. Just three months ago, she was at the center of a high-profile legal battle against her former partner, Sean “Diddy” Combs, whom she accused of prolonged physical abuse and sexual assault in a $30 million lawsuit.
The 54-year-old music mogul is currently incarcerated following his arrest on September 16 on charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering. He is expected to remain behind bars until his trial, which is scheduled for May 2025.
Cassie’s relationship with Combs was marked by instability, spanning over a decade from 2007 to 2018. They began dating secretly in 2007 after first meeting when Cassie was 19. Their romance became public in 2012 but officially ended in 2018.
On November 16, 2023, Cassie took legal action against Combs, accusing him of years of sexual violence and physical abuse. Her lawsuit shed light on the trauma she endured and explained her prolonged absence from the music industry.
According to her claims, Combs allegedly assaulted her in her home and forced her into unwanted sexual encounters. She also detailed incidents where he reportedly drugged and coerced her into participating in disturbing acts involving male sex workers.
Combs swiftly settled the case just a day after the lawsuit was filed. However, in March, shocking surveillance footage from 2016 surfaced, showing Combs physically assaulting Cassie at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.
The disturbing video captured Combs, clad only in a towel, aggressively pursuing Cassie down a hallway before grabbing her by the head and violently throwing her to the floor.
Despite the painful past, Cassie is now focusing on her growing family and embracing this new chapter of her life with Alex Fine.
