Bushra Bibi granted temporary bail in PTI’s November 26 protest cases

Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, was granted interim bail in cases linked to the partyโ€™s November 26 protest. The interim bail was approved by Duty Judge Shabbir Bhatti at the District and Sessions Court in Islamabad on Thursday. The bail, set at Rs50,000 for each case, will remain valid until January 13.

Bushra, accompanied by her legal team, appeared in court for the hearing of cases filed at Tarnol and Ramna Police Stations, with a total of four FIRs. Last week, she was granted interim bail in 32 cases related to the same protest, across various districts in Rawalpindi, Attock, and Chakwal.

Bushra and other PTI leaders also face charges in a “triple murder case” related to the deaths of three Rangers personnel, allegedly run over by a vehicle during the protest.

The protest, which aimed to secure Imran Khan’s release, was abruptly ended after a government crackdown. Over 1,000 PTI supporters were arrested, and law enforcement agencies dispersed the protesters from the Red Zone. PTI has called for a judicial commission to investigate the deaths of their workers during the protest.
