The stock market made a strong recovery on Friday, with investor sentiment turning positive once again.
The Pakistan Stock Exchange’s (PSX) benchmark KSE-100 Index saw a significant rise, reaching an intraday peak of 113,928.51, up by 2,601.94 points or 2.34% from the previous close of 111,326.57.
The index’s low for the session was recorded at 112,820.07, still showing an increase of 1,493.50 points or 1.34%.
This recovery comes after a sharp downturn on Wednesday, when the KSE-100 index faced a steep drop of 3,545.61 points, or 3.09%, ending at 111,326.57. During that session, the index peaked at 114,066.13 points and dipped to a low of 110,631.84 points, marking one of the year’s most significant single-day declines.
