Brenda Song recently shared the name of her second child with fiancé Macaulay Culkin: Carson. The couple, known for their low-key lifestyle, quietly welcomed Carson in March 2022. They also have a son, Dakota, born in 2021, who was named after Culkin’s late sister.
The family made a rare public appearance in 2023 during Culkin’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. Reflecting on the experience, Song mentioned that they couldn’t let their children miss such a significant moment, though their son Dakota was initially frightened by the cameras. Song emphasized the family’s desire to shield their children from the public eye, noting that they didn’t choose this life.
Balancing her protective nature with her career has been challenging for Song. She admitted to feeling unsure about taking on her latest role in The Last Showgirl, especially after having two pregnancies in the same calendar year. Motherhood, she explained, led her to rethink societal expectations, ageism, and her role in the entertainment industry.
