Bangladesh Military Delegation Holds Talks with Pak Navy Commanders on Defense Cooperation

Lieutenant General SM Kamrul Hassan, the Principal Staff Officer of Bangladesh’s Armed Forces Division, visited senior Pakistan Navy officials on Sunday to engage in talks on regional security and to strengthen defence relations between the two nations.

General Hassan met with key personnel, including Rear Admiral Abdul Munib, Commander of Pakistan Fleet; Rear Admiral Faisal Amin, Commander of Coast; and Rear Admiral Salman Ilyas, Managing Director of Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS&EW). The discussions were aimed at enhancing professional ties and addressing mutual interests, according to the Pakistan Navy’s Directorate General Public Relations.

The visit included a tour of Pakistan Navy ships and installations, with talks focusing on improving regional maritime security and expanding defence cooperation. The two sides explored various areas of collaboration, such as joint military exercises, reciprocal visits, and training exchanges.

This visit is viewed as a positive step in strengthening defence ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh, reinforcing their ongoing commitment to regional stability and security.
