Former Pakistan cricket captain Babar Azam is currently in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah during the sacred month of Ramadan. Accompanied by his brother, Safeer Azam, Babar is visiting Makkah for the pilgrimage. Safeer shared a video on social media capturing the moment they broke their fast at Masjid al-Haram.
A video posted on Instagram shows the star batsman spending time in the open area near the Kaaba. The clip, captioned “Alhamdulillah,” highlights Babar in a serene and reflective moment during his spiritual journey.
Babar is scheduled to return to Pakistan on March 15, after which he will begin preparations for the upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand. Meanwhile, Pakistanβs ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan and fast bowler Naseem Shah are also in Saudi Arabia performing Umrah during Ramadan.
The Pakistan cricket team is set to regroup soon for training ahead of the New Zealand series, where Babar will play a crucial role in the middle order. His spiritual retreat during Ramadan reflects his dedication to both faith and cricket as he gears up for the challenges ahead.
