RAWALPINDI:On Kashmir Solidarity Day, Pakistan’s military leadership, including the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and the service chiefs, reiterated their unwavering support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in their legitimate struggle for self-determination.
A press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) honored the unyielding courage of the Kashmiri people, who have faced decades of oppression, violence, and severe human rights abuses. Their resilience against such injustices continues to inspire and unite the nation.
The Pakistan armed forces condemned the ongoing human rights violations in IIOJK, such as extrajudicial killings, forced disappearances, and arbitrary detentions, emphasizing that these actions reflect India’s disregard for international laws and basic humanitarian principles.
The military called on the international community, global human rights organizations, and the United Nations to take urgent action to address the suffering of the Kashmiri people and to ensure the implementation of UN Security Council resolutions in line with their aspirations.
The ISPR stressed that the Pakistani armed forces remain steadfast in supporting the Kashmir cause, reaffirming their dedication to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. “We stand with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their rightful pursuit of freedom and dignity,” the statement concluded.
“Long live Pakistan! Long live Kashmir!”
Across Pakistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and the global Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora, Kashmir Solidarity Day will be observed on February 5. The day aims to express continued support for the Kashmiri people’s struggle for self-determination, which has been denied by India for over 78 years through unlawful occupation.
With over 240 million Pakistanis united in this annual observance, the nation’s collective voice continues to challenge India’s misleading narratives on Kashmir. Pakistan remains resolute in supporting the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination, as per the United Nations resolutions, despite India’s ongoing resistance.
In AJK, preparations are complete for the day’s observances, with a renewed commitment to the Kashmiris’ struggle for freedom and the goal of full accession of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan, as envisioned in the historic July 19, 1947 resolution passed by the All Jammu Kashmir Muslim Conference in Srinagar.
