Missouri’s Armand Membou and Georgia’s Jared Wilson capped off Sunday’s NFL Scouting Combine with standout performances, reinforcing their status as top prospects for the upcoming draft in April.
Wilson, a 6-foot-3, 310-pound center, delivered a remarkable 4.84-second 40-yard dash, making him just the second 300-pound lineman to break the 4.85-second mark, a feat previously achieved by Lane Johnson in 2013.
Membou, a 6-foot-4, 332-pound offensive tackle, entered the event as the highest-rated lineman per NFL.com and did not disappoint. He recorded a 4.91-second 40-yard dash, ranking second among offensive linemen, while also leading his position group with a 9-foot-7 broad jump and securing fourth place in the vertical jump with a 34-inch leap.
LSU’s Will Campbell (6-6, 319 pounds) followed closely in the broad jump with a 9-foot-5 mark, tying with Georgia guard Tate Ratledge. Both players, alongside Membou, are among the frontrunners to be the first offensive lineman drafted.
North Dakota State’s Grey Zabel led the linemen in the vertical jump at 36.5 inches, followed by Iowa State’s Jalen Travis (35 inches) and Oregon’s Josh Conerly Jr. (34.5 inches).
Among skill players, Michigan running back Donovan Edwards and Auburn’s Jarquez Hunter excelled in the bench press, with Edwards achieving 23 reps and Hunter recording 21.
Iowa State receiver Jaylin Noel topped his position group in the bench press with 23 reps, followed by TCU’s Jack Bech with 19. Quarterbacks, however, opted out of the event.
The combine wraps up on Monday, with offensive linemen taking part in the bench press to conclude a week of evaluations in Indianapolis.
