Police in Chhattisgarh have apprehended another suspect in connection with the January 16 assault on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. The suspect, identified as Sandesh, was detained in Durg by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) while traveling by train after a tip-off alerted authorities to his location. Local police collaborated to remove him from the train for further questioning.
Investigators are now arranging to transfer the suspect to Mumbai as part of the ongoing probe. Over 50 individuals have been interrogated, with 35 teams actively pursuing evidence. Authorities have dedicated more than 60 hours to the case, piecing together information and analyzing recently surfaced CCTV footage that led to the suspect’s arrest.
Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan continues to recover in the hospital following surgery. His condition is improving, and he is expected to be discharged within two days. Doctors have advised him to rest for at least two weeks.
