Anne Hathaway, a prominent Hollywood actress, has revealed that she was once a huge admirer of Angelina Jolie. In a recent interview, Hathaway shared that she became inspired by Jolie’s style when she landed her breakout role in The Princess Diaries.
During the conversation, the 42-year-old actress recalled her first major purchase after earning her paycheck from the 2001 family comedy film. The purchase was a pair of luxurious leather pants, influenced by Jolie’s fashion choices.
Speaking with Women’s Wear Daily, Hathaway explained, “When I got The Princess Diaries, I bought myself a pair of leather pants from Diesel. I remember being taken by the costume designer to the 3rd Street Promenade.” She further added that she had long been eyeing the pants, as she admired how Jolie often wore leather pants.
Hathaway described it as a special moment, saying, “And when I got The Princess Diaries, I was like, this is my first movie, I’m getting leather pants.”
Although Hathaway’s own fashion choices have garnered praise worldwide, this moment from her early career reflects how deeply Jolie’s style influenced her.
