Irfani shared this surprising discovery during his appearance on PTV’s Virsa: Heritage Revived, a show hosted by Yousuf Salahuddin, the grandson of Allama Iqbal. The actor stunned the audience by revealing that he is not only related to Salahuddin but is also a descendant of the renowned poet.
During the show, Irfani expressed how much he had always admired watching the program on TV and YouTube, but it was his first time experiencing it in person. He appreciated the cultural significance of the show and the effort its hosts put into preserving Pakistan’s rich heritage, saying, “It’s always a great learning experience visiting Uncle Yousuf.”
Yousuf Salahuddin, a passionate advocate for preserving Pakistan’s cultural heritage, then disclosed that Irfani’s great-grandmother was the sister of Allama Iqbal, making Irfani a direct descendant of the poet.
