PM Shehbaz Vows to Deepen Economic Cooperation with UAE

 

PM Shehbaz Reaffirms Strong Economic Partnership with UAE

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its economic ties with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), aiming to build a durable and mutually advantageous partnership.

During a phone call on Wednesday with UAE President and Abu Dhabi Ruler Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the expanding cooperation between the two nations, especially in trade, economic affairs, and investment over the past year.

The conversation was warm and friendly, with PM Shehbaz expressing gratitude for the UAE’s diplomatic efforts in easing recent regional tensions in South Asia. He praised the UAE’s steadfast support for Pakistan during challenging periods.

Stressing Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace, the Prime Minister pointed out that Islamabad’s acceptance of the recent ceasefire with India reflected this intent. He reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to upholding the ceasefire while firmly protecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

PM Shehbaz also stressed that Pakistan would continue to defend the Indus Waters Treaty against any threats.

In response, Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the ceasefire agreement and praised Pakistan’s positive contributions to peace and stability in South Asia. He assured continued UAE support for lasting peace in the region.
