King Charles struggles to mend divisions within the royal family

Despite appearing united during their Christmas Day celebrations, the British royal family still showed deep divisions. King Charles and Queen Camilla walked together to St. Mary Magdalene Church at Sandringham, putting on a brave face, especially as the King was advised against stress during his cancer treatment. The traditional walk aimed to project unity, but tensions within the family were still visible.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their children, drew attention with their stylish presence, while there was no mention of Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, or their children, who live in California. Similarly, King Charles’ younger brother, Prince Andrew, was absent due to his ongoing financial scandals, and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson was excluded from the public family event after being briefly included the previous year.

Princess Beatrice, who is pregnant, chose to join the royals for the walk rather than spend time with her parents. In his Christmas speech, King Charles attempted to promote messages of unity and peace, despite the underlying rifts within the family.
