PSX Suffers Major Decline as Investor Caution Grows
The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) faced renewed selling pressure on Wednesday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index tumbling sharply in early trading. The index dropped by over 2,000 points amid ongoing investor uncertainty.
At its lowest point during the session, the KSE-100 fell to 113,040.29 — a decline of 1,831.89 points or 1.59% — erasing the gains recorded in Tuesday’s rally.
Even the session’s peak performance offered little relief, as the index reached only 114,066.12, still down 806.06 points or 0.70% from the previous close of 114,872.18. The movement reflected continued fragility in market confidence.
