PM Shehbaz Sharif Discusses Space Tech Collaboration with China’s Galaxy Space Delegation
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed a high-profile delegation from Galaxy Space, one of China’s prominent space technology firms, led by its Chairman Mr. Xu Ming, at the Prime Minister’s Office.
During the discussion, the Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to advancing its space technology capabilities, calling it a key national objective. He acknowledged China as Pakistan’s most trusted ally and strategic collaborator, expressing a strong intent to expand joint efforts in satellite communication, space technology, telecommunications, and satellite internet.
The Galaxy Space team showed strong interest in investing in Pakistan’s growing space sector and expressed willingness to form partnerships with national space agencies and local telecom companies.
They also shared positive feedback on their meetings with the Ministry of IT & Telecommunication and SUPARCO, appreciating the Government of Pakistan’s hospitality and support.
The meeting was also attended by Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Federal Minister for IT & Telecom Shaza Fatima, Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr. Tauqir Shah, and senior government officials.
