Kim Richards, 60, called the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on Sunday to report that her cat was missing but had been returned. When officers arrived at her sister Kyle Richards’ home, Kim started discussing personal issues, leading to her erratic behavior. As a result, the police called in a mental health evaluation team.
The evaluation team decided Kim didn’t need to be involuntarily held, as she wasn’t a threat to herself or others. Paramedics also came but left after deciding she didn’t need medical transport. At the time, Kyle was in Aspen, spending the holidays with her ex-husband and their children.
This incident follows a similar situation in September when Kim was placed on a psychiatric hold after being found incoherent at a hotel. Kim has faced public struggles with addiction and has had challenges with her sobriety, which have been well-documented during her time on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
