Alessia Cara has announced the postponement of the U.S. leg of her Love & Hyperbole tour, sharing the news in an emotional social media post.
The 28-year-old singer took to Instagram on March 28 to express her regret and offer an apology to fans.
“It breaks my heart to say this, but unfortunately, I have to reschedule the U.S. leg of the Love & Hyperbole tour,” she wrote. Cara explained that numerous factors contributed to the decision, emphasizing that they were “completely beyond my control.”
She acknowledged the challenges of touring, particularly in today’s landscape, noting, “There are so many moving parts involved, and unfortunately, we couldn’t get everything in place on time.”
Cara also conveyed her disappointment, stating, “Letting you down is the hardest part because everything I’ve done has been for you. I know how much you were looking forward to this.”
Despite the setback, she reassured fans that her scheduled performances in Asia, Canada, Australia, and Europe will go on as planned. “As soon as I have updates on the new U.S. dates, I’ll share them with you,” she promised.
The Love & Hyperbole tour, announced in February, was initially slated to run from April 6 to April 26.
