The Sindh Education Department has told private schools not to collect advance or extra fees from students, according to a notice from the Directorate of Inspection and Private Institutions.
This decision aims to help parents and students financially and ensure a fair fee collection process.
The notice said the academic year 2025-26 will begin on April 1, 2025. To ease financial pressure, schools are only allowed to collect tuition fees for matriculation students up to April.
For students from pre-primary to grade nine, and those moving from grade nine to grade ten, schools can collect fees for June and July in April and May.
However, schools must issue separate fee vouchers for each month to keep things clear.
The notice also states that June fees should be paid by June 30 and July fees by July 31.
This plan is meant to reduce financial strain on parents and allow them to pay fees without stress.
