A medical student from Nishtar Medical University (NMU) in Multan was allegedly kidnapped by two men, one of whom works at the university. The suspects took her to an unknown location where they raped her.
The police quickly responded after receiving the report and arrested the suspects. According to Multan Regional Police Officer Sohail Chaudhry, the authorities acted immediately.
A senior doctor at NMU stated that the student was in a state of trauma and mentioned that senior doctors had urged the university management to involve the police.
Multan Cantonment SP Tahir Majeed confirmed that the police were working to carry out a medical examination and DNA test on the victim.
