Preparations for the wedding of Zaid Hussain Nawaz, the grandson of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, are now complete. Zaid is the son of Hussain Nawaz, who was declared bankrupt by a British court.
Sources say guests from around the world, including the US, UK, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, India, and other countries, are expected to attend. To accommodate them, 25 to 30 rooms have been booked at Faisalabad Hotel, and the State Guest House will also host some guests.
All members of the Sharif family living abroad, including Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Asma Nawaz, have already arrived in Pakistan. Hussain Nawaz and his family have also reached Lahore for the wedding.
The Punjab Police have arranged security for both local and international guests. The wedding celebrations will begin with Zaid’s Nikah on December 25, followed by the Henna ceremony at Jati Umra with 500 guests. The main wedding will take place on December 27, with a grand reception (Valima) planned for December 29 with 700 invited guests.
