Meghan Markle can breathe a sigh of relief as a potential legal dispute over her lifestyle brand, As Ever, has been dropped.
The controversy arose when a New York-based clothing brand with the same name as Meghan’s newly rebranded project gained attention, sparking speculation about a possible lawsuit. Initially, reports suggested that the brand’s designer was considering legal action against the Duchess of Sussex.
However, designer Mark Kolski clarified to The New York Times that he has no intention of pursuing legal action against Meghan or her brand.
“I’m not trying to mount some legal offensive here. Right now, I’m just going back to work and focusing on my brand,” Kolski stated. He also dismissed claims of any feud, noting that media speculation was exaggerating the situation.
On February 18, Meghan introduced As Ever in a video announcement, revealing that she had rebranded American Riviera Orchard under its new name.
Speaking about the project, she said, “This new chapter is an extension of what has always been my love language—beautifully weaving together everything I cherish: food, gardening, entertaining, thoughtful living, and finding joy in the everyday.”
