Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, for a two-day official visit, where he was warmly welcomed by Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Nigmatovich Aripov.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will engage in talks with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, focusing on key areas such as connectivity, trade, investment, energy, defense, regional stability, and education. The discussions will also cover regional and global issues of shared interest.
Officials have announced that several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) will be signed to enhance bilateral relations.
PM Shehbaz is also scheduled to speak at the Pakistan-Uzbekistan Business Forum, which will feature leading business figures from both countries who will participate in B2B meetings to explore potential trade opportunities.
Upon his arrival, the Prime Minister paid a visit to the Independence Monument in Tashkent, where he laid a wreath in honor of the country’s independence.
