Israeli military strikes in the Gaza Strip have killed at least 17 Palestinians, including eight at a school in Gaza City that was sheltering displaced families. Medics reported that the airstrikes hit the Musa Bin Nusayr School, killing eight people, including children. The Israeli military claimed the strike targeted Hamas fighters, who they said were using the school as a base for attacks.
In Gaza City, another airstrike killed four people when it hit a car. Additionally, two other airstrikes in Rafah and Khan Younis, in the southern part of Gaza, killed at least five more Palestinians.
The Israeli army also ordered the evacuation of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, directing staff to move patients to another nearby hospital. The hospital director, Hussam Abu Safiya, said it was nearly impossible to evacuate due to a lack of ambulances.
