Peaky Blinders Movie Wraps Filming as Steven Knight Hints at More to Come

The much-anticipated Peaky Blinders movie has officially completed filming, with creator Steven Knight teasing that the franchise’s story may not be over yet.

During an interview on BBC Breakfast, Knight confirmed that filming concluded on December 13, 2024, and post-production is now underway. “We’re piecing it together now,” he shared. “Of course, I’d say this, but it’s truly fantastic. We’ve brought together some of Britain’s finest actors, including Stephen Graham.”

Knight expressed confidence in the film’s quality, stating that the footage he has seen so far will not disappoint fans. “The rushes and early edits are incredible,” he said. “It’s a perfect way to conclude this chapter of Peaky Blinders.”

Although the movie is expected to provide closure to the original series, Knight hinted that the franchise’s journey isn’t entirely over. When asked if this was the end, he responded, “This part, yes. But I can’t officially announce anything—let’s just say the Peaky world will continue.”

Written by Knight, the film stars Cillian Murphy reprising his role as Tommy Shelby, with Barry Keoghan also joining the cast. The project is produced by Knight, Patrick Holland, Murphy, and Guy Heeley, with BBC Film involved in production.

Beyond Peaky Blinders, Knight remains busy with other projects, including his upcoming drama A Thousand Blows, which premieres this Friday on Disney+ in the UK and Hulu in the US.
