Sabrina Carpenter has joined forces with country legend Dolly Parton for a fresh take on her hit song “Please Please Please,” featured on the deluxe edition of her album Short N Sweet.
Released on February 14, 2025, the remix infuses the pop track with a country flair, blending Parton’s signature vocals with Carpenter’s original performance. This special edition of the album also includes five additional songs.
The accompanying music video, directed by Sean Price Williams, draws inspiration from the classic film Thelma & Louise. In the visuals, Carpenter and Parton embark on a fun-filled road trip, with a mischievous and lighthearted tone. At one point, Carpenter hands Parton a shovel, revealing an unexpected twist—a tied-up figure in the back of their vehicle, dressed identically to Carpenter’s ex-boyfriend, actor Barry Keoghan, from the original video.
Although Carpenter and Keoghan’s relationship is no longer in the public eye, the subtle reference in the new video has intrigued fans. The latest visuals, where the two women exude confidence and independence, contrast sharply with the dramatic tone of the original music video featuring Keoghan.
This country-pop remix of “Please Please Please” highlights Carpenter’s artistic range while adding another iconic collaboration to Parton’s extensive career. Given Carpenter’s strong social media presence and history of viral success, this release is sure to generate buzz well beyond Valentine’s Day.
