Ukrainian Drones Strike High-Rise in Russia’s Kazan – WATCH

At least seven Ukrainian drones attacked the Russian city of Kazan early Saturday, striking residential buildings and injuring at least three people. This marks one of the most significant assaults on the city since the onset of the war. According to the Telegram channel SHOT, two drones hit a 37-storey apartment building in the city center, causing significant damage. Tatarstan’s Premier, Alexey Pesoshin, visited the site later on Saturday, as reported by TASS.

Another residential building was also targeted, with independent outlet ASTRA reporting three explosions. Video footage shared by ASTRA showed a drone crashing into the roof of a four-storey building. The blasts led to the temporary closure of Kazan’s airport to ensure flight safety, as confirmed by Rosaviatsia, Russia’s civil aviation authority. Local schools were evacuated, as reported by RBC.

Kazan, located over 1,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, has experienced an increase in Ukrainian drone strikes since April, when a dormitory in Tatarstan was attacked, injuring 13 people.
