Shab-e-Barat Observed Across Pakistan with Religious Devotion

Muslims across Pakistan are marking Shab-e-Barat, also known as the night of forgiveness, with deep religious devotion and spiritual reflection.

Special gatherings are being held in mosques and religious centers, featuring Quranic recitations, sermons, and prayers. Scholars are delivering speeches emphasizing the significance of this sacred night, which is regarded as an opportunity to seek divine mercy and forgiveness.

Many worshippers are dedicating the night to prayer, reciting the Holy Quran, sending blessings upon the Prophet (PBUH), and offering Nawafil prayers. Mosques are beautifully illuminated as devotees seek Allah’s blessings for peace, prosperity, and well-being.

Shab-e-Barat falls between the 14th and 15th of Shaban, the eighth month of the Islamic calendar. According to Islamic belief, it is a night when destinies for the coming year are written.

In observance of this special occasion, many people visit cemeteries to pray for their deceased loved ones. Additionally, fasting the day after Shab-e-Barat is a common practice among believers, symbolizing spiritual purification and devotion.

Authorities have implemented security measures around mosques, shrines, and graveyards to ensure safety during the large congregations taking place across the country.
