Comedian Marlon Wayans is firing back after rapper Soulja Boy launched a social media attack against him on X (formerly Twitter) Monday night.
Soulja Boy, also known as Big Draco, posted a series of harsh remarks targeting Wayans, accusing him of being unfunny and selling out.
The rapper’s attack began with, “Marlon Wayans, you a b*tch and not funny. Shut up and keep selling your soul.” The post left fans puzzled as no clear reason was given for the sudden animosity.
Wayans quickly responded with strong words of his own. In a pair of posts, he fired back at Soulja Boy, writing, “Says the clown that jumped over the moon,” and, “You got issues. Go sit down and reflect.”
The root of the feud remains uncertain, but some speculate it may be linked to Wayans’ recent comments about Soulja Boy’s performance at a Crypto Ball event associated with Donald Trump’s inauguration. During an interview on 101.1 The Wiz, Wayans dismissed Soulja Boy’s career as “irrelevant” and suggested the rapper may not have been aware of the event’s political affiliations.
Another potential source of tension could be Wayans’ vocal support for Drake following Kendrick Lamar’s impactful Super Bowl performance. Soulja Boy, who has been openly critical of Drake, posted a dismissive comment about the rapper.
Despite promoting his new album, Soulja Boy has been making headlines for his ongoing social media rants, targeting multiple celebrities, including Wayans, Bhad Bhabie (whom he recently threatened with legal action), and continuing his dispute with Blueface.
