Cold wave persists in Karachi as temperature drops to single digit

Karachi’s temperature dropped to 9.2°C on Friday night as a cold wave continued to affect the city. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) attributes this chill to northeast winds from Balochistan, which have been sweeping through Karachi, further intensifying the cold.

The weather forecast for the next 24 hours indicates that the city will continue to experience cold and dry conditions. The humidity level in Karachi is currently 48%, adding to the overall chill in the air.

With low temperatures expected to persist, Karachi residents are preparing for several more days of cold weather. Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz confirmed that while the winds are strong, they are not expected to cause any dust storms.

The current cold spell is likely to last, maintaining lower-than-usual temperatures in the coming days.
