Justin Baldoni’s Alleged Apology Voice Note Over ‘It Ends With Us’ Rooftop Scene Leaked

Justin Baldoni appears to have issued a heartfelt apology to Blake Lively following disagreements during the production of It Ends With Us. A voice note reportedly obtained by Daily Mail reveals an emotional conversation between the actor-director and the Gossip Girl star, sent in April 2023.

In the alleged message, Baldoni begins by acknowledging his actions and expressing regret. “Hey, Blake … hopefully, this doesn’t wake you up,” he begins, adding that he hopes they can soon meet in person or connect over FaceTime. He goes on to apologize for not ensuring Lively felt heard during the process, referring to her concerns about feeling “unseen.” He expressed gratitude for her honesty and vulnerability in sharing her feelings, admitting, “I f–ked up.”

Baldoni emphasizes his willingness to own up to his mistakes, stating that he is far from perfect but always strives to learn from his errors. He mentions a previous visit to Lively’s New York penthouse, where Taylor Swift praised Lively’s script rewrites, complimenting the creative energy around her circle of friends.

Throughout the message, Baldoni stresses his commitment to better communication, acknowledging his struggles with texting and voice notes. He also apologizes on behalf of the industry for the treatment Lively has faced, expressing disbelief at the challenges she’s endured as a woman.

Baldoni expresses hope that the film would be a healing experience for Lively and a success. He acknowledges her contributions as crucial, saying she is the “secret sauce” of the project.

This voice note surfaced amid Baldoni and Lively’s ongoing legal disputes. Lively has accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and retaliation, allegations he denies. Baldoni has filed a $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds. The case has led to calls for a gag order to limit public commentary, though Baldoni’s lawyer has insisted he will not be silenced.
