Princess Eugenie’s recent absence from social media has sparked curiosity, especially as it coincides with her decision to skip the Royal Family’s Christmas gathering.
Property expert Robin Edwards suggested to GB News that Eugenie’s “silence” might reflect her growing physical and emotional distance from the UK.
Instead of joining the royals at Windsor, Eugenie chose to spend the holidays with her husband Jack Brooksbank’s family. This shift aligns with the couple’s move to Portugal in 2020, where Jack holds a senior position at the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club, a high-end development in Comporta, often called “The Hamptons of Portugal.”
Edwards noted that the geographical separation appears to be influencing Eugenie’s involvement in family affairs, while her subdued online presence suggests a growing focus on her new life abroad.
Her silence also coincides with renewed scrutiny on her father, Prince Andrew, who has faced allegations of links to Chinese spy Yang Tengbo. Both Andrew and Yang deny the accusations, with Andrew asserting he severed ties following government advice.
